This is a real story:

One of my patients complains having pain on the heel every time she wakes up in the morning, and after walking for long times. Every day in the morning is a disaster because she experience serious sharp, #Burning pain when she walk!

I did physiotherapy for her (#Dry needling, therapeutic massage and electrical stimulation). The next day after the physiotherapy treatment, she feels like something is missing after she wake up in the morning.

 

Then, she quickly realizes that her heel pain is #Gone.

 

There’s a strong connection between wearing high heels and developing #Heel pain (Medical name: plantar fasciitis).

High heel distribute your weight unevenly and put the arch of your foot into #Unnatural position. Thus, it put stress on your arch and cause soft tissue tearing and inflammation.

In addition, wearing heels can also lead to back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain since it disturb the entire body’s #Alignment as the weight is shifted unnaturally to the foot.

Tips 1: Fit is #Crucial. Don’t buy heels that too small. Get the exact right fit.

Tips 2: Keep in mind that slopes is more important than height. Look for a thicker heel to distribute weight more evenly and look for heels that are sloped #Gradually.

Tips 3: Lower your heel height gradually. Don’t immediately change from wearing flats!

Tips 4: Don’t afraid to wear a little heel. Supported shoes with a very slight heel can actually better for your feet than unsupported flats.

Tips 5: #Stretch your calf muscle and foot before and after wearing heels to keep key muscles and ligaments strong and in good position.

Tips 6: Wears heels for short period of time. Try to wear them only to #Sitting events.

“I can move my hand freely and no more pain anymore on my stomach. What had you done?”

Madam Santhi was happy when her left shoulder pain decrease 85% and stomach pain recover after having physiotherapy treatment. Read this short story and you will understand how poor posture can lead to shoulder problem!

An Indian lady comes to Biorehab Physiotherapy Centre – Kulai with left shoulder and pain over upper stomach region. She had experienced left shoulder pain since two week ago. She also complains having upper stomach pain after wake up in the morning.

She went to the clinic for a treatment and a doctor prescribes a painkiller injection and gastric medicine to reduce the pain.

However, the pain does not subside. Thus, doctor suggests doing physiotherapy treatment.

She looks upset and feels discomfort during the first visits due to extreme pain.

Based on the assessment done, we found that she had poor posture which her left shoulder lower than her right shoulder, slight forward of head, tightness over neck muscle and shoulder muscle due to her poor posture.

After the physiotherapy treatment such as dry needling and therapeutic massage, she feels much better and able to smile brightly. She is able to move her left shoulder without pain after two session physiotherapy treatment.

#70岁老妇后花园跌倒行动不便!物理治疗5次后她大胆买机票去旅游!

上个礼拜经过友人的介绍,前往韩女士的家里做上门物理治疗。韩女士今年高龄70岁,去年4月份时在后花园因为下雨路滑,而滑到 #跌坐在地上

跌倒后没事,她还能自己站起来走路,一点痛都没有!原本以为就此逃过一劫,怎么知道几天后,跌倒撞伤的部位 (右边屁股) #开始疼痛

她不能弯腰,不能蹲,#走路更痛!坐着站起来的那一瞬间会更痛!韩女士从来就没有类似的跌倒受伤经验,心里很害怕,家人也很着急,深怕自己亲爱的母亲会有什么大问题!因为这次的事故,韩女士也不敢买机票去旅行,深怕自己的行动不便会影响别人。

孩子马上安排韩女士送往私人医院,经过医院检查,发现骨刺, 需要立刻物理治疗。

在我见到韩女士时,韩女士向我诉说自己目前的情况,非常痛苦!经我检查之后,发现韩女士的右大腿后侧 #肌肉绷紧,按压时会有疼痛的感觉。就如图所示。

我马上怀疑是韩女士的国绳肌群肌肉 (Hamstring muscles) 绷紧,而导致她不能弯腰,不能下蹲,走路会痛,以及坐着站起来的那一瞬间会更痛!再解释病情给韩女士听后,马上为她治疗。

找出了问题所在,#看似复杂的问题,就会变得简单!

先是进行 #治疗性按摩 (Therapeutic Massage) 。按摩她的国绳肌群肌肉 (Hamstring muscles),让紧绷的肌群放松。

接着进行 #干针疗法 (西方针灸),把有问题的肌肉群都调理好。

治疗的最后,就是应用 #肌肉贴布疗法。肌肉贴布治疗技术是一种 #零疼痛#零药性 的特殊治疗。贴布黏在大腿后侧肌群,能起到放松肌肉的作用。

治疗一次后,再让韩女士弯腰,现在她能弯腰了!(原本不能碰地,现在可以了),#下蹲也不痛了走路也不痛了!坐着站起来的那一瞬间疼痛也减少了50%!

# Nobody takes golf injuries seriously until they get one!

Dear golfer,

About 60 percent of players have a golf-specific injury at some point. A golf game spoiled often by an injury. A lot of people don’t even think golf is a sport. How can it have its own category of injuries?

Imagine you are playing golf; you hit the ground before the ball when making golf swings! Immediately you feel stabbing pain shoots through up your wrist, elbow or shoulder joint!

Mr. Hew has the same experience in December last year . He injured his left elbow because he hit the ground before the ball when making golf swings. The elbow pain was excruciating, because the harder his golf swing, more force will be transmitted to his elbow.

As a result, he couldn’t exert any force; even bending his wrist is difficult due to the stabbing pain in the elbow!

He seek remedy from traditional massage therapist, unfortunately, there is no improvement at all after the massage treatment. He was frustrating until he received dry needling therapy from us.
